CCC DIGI CREATIONS

Many thanks to Lisa and Eileen.
And the lovely sponsor for the challenge is...
DOCTOR DIGI

I used the image SIMPLY SANTA

I used a 6x4 red base card and a red paper to layer the front.
I placed a vintage style tag in top left corner, a red fabric poinsettia in the top right corner and a Xmas sentiment in the bottom left corner. I adhered the image to a frame using sticky pads to give it depth, then placed the framed image in the bottom right corner. On the inside I placed a framed verse card.

These are the Copics I used to colour the image.

And thats my GD project.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

Good morning!

A new challenge starts today over at
JADE'S SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES
And our lovely sponsor is...
CHING-CHOU KUIK

Here is my inspiration card...I did not use an image for this challenge.

I made this cute Holy Communion Dress Box and Card. You can place a small gift inside the box.
The cutting file is from Silhouette Online Store and it was cut out on my silhouette Cameo.
I cut out some tiny flowers for the front of the dress and slotted ribbon through the holes in the back and front to close the box and tied it in a bow at the front.
I cut a small card 4x4 in the same card, made a small sentiment 'Holy communion' and placed it at the top of the card. In the centre I placed a small chipboard embellishment.
Everything I used came from my stash.

And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

LET'S CRAFT & CREATE #111

Good morning!

A new challenge starts today over at
LETS CRAFT & CREATE
And the prize is
A beautiful embossing folder from Marianne Designs

Here is my inspiration card

I saw this on the blog of a very talented Polish young man named
Mariusz, also known as Scrap Man in the blogger world.
This card is posted with his kind permission...thank you Mariusz!
I love the work of the Polish, always so beatifully made.
Please do visit his blog and see for yourself.
http://scrapkiart.blogspot.co.uk/

So credit really must go to him for this beautiful creation...I merely added a few extras to it.

So I started of with a 6x6 base card turned to make a tent card.
I used the G45 paper pad ONCE UPON A SPRINGTIME.
I am a G45 addict Im afraid lol. This particular pad is ideal for springtime creations.

I cut two pieces of contrasting card, one 5.75x5.75in the other 5.5x5.5.
I placed a chipboard frame in the centre.
Then I fussy cut some flowers and rabbits from the main page and placed them around the edge of the frame, the rabbits I placed more to the centre.
I cut out a piece of card the shape of two chipboard Easter Eggs and adhered one to the back of each egg and put them to the left side, putting them at a slight angle. I placed a small fussy cut bird from the pad between the eggs to give the appearance of it sitting on them.
I cut some of the border from the page I had used and placed one piece across the top and down the left side, the other in the opposite corner. Then I added a sentiment banner at the top.
I placed several flowers and leaves around the bottom of the card and one flower with leaves in the top right corner.

And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.
Please do visit our other DT members to see their fabulous creations too.
Thank you for stopping by today and we look forward to seeing your creations in the challenge.

I started by making a 6x4.5in base card. I lined the inside with one of the papers in the colour I had chosen...light brown/beiges/white. I cut out two mats from contrasting papers and layered them to the front of the card. I used a chipboard fancy doily embellishment, some tan coloured flowers and white leaves, made a bow from some tan coloured jute and finally a pair of chipboard baby shoes.

And thats my DT card for this time.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #122

Hello again!

Im back with yet another challenge for you.
A new challenge over at
CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS

And our lovely sponsor is...
SCRAPPERS DELIGHT

Here is my inspiration card

I used the JUST TO SAY CIRCLE digi from Scrappers Delight.
I distressed it with TIM HOLTZ DISTRESS INK colour SPUN SUGAR.
It just toned the white down a little.

I made a 6x4.5in card with the fold at the top. I lined the inside with the first contrasting paper I used on the front. I then layered the front with two slightly smaller mats in contrasting papers, one glittered for the challenge theme. Then I placed two pieces of different sizes on top of the glittered paper and added some flowers, a chipboard embellishment, some string pearls, one green and one pink bow made from crumpled seam binding ribbon, a few leaves and some butterflies cut out from the glittered paper. I added another butterfly to the right of flowers also. I placed the 'THANK YOU' circle sentiment in the bottom right corner.

And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

Please do visit our other DT members to see their fabulous creations too.

As a member of ANNABEL'S ALL STARS DT I am here to show you my inspiration card.

And our lovely sponsors for this challenge are...

INKY IMPRESSIONS
  & DI'S DIGI STAMPS

Here is my inspiration card

I used the image WEDDING DAY CIRCLE

I didnt need to colour this image, I just printed it out. I placed this in the top right corner of the card.
I cut out a card on my Silhouette Cameo which I purchased from TINA FITCH
I cut out the three horseshoe layers and embossed the top two.

I layered the horseshoe using double-sided foam pads then 'wrapped' it around the card front fixing it down with double-sided tape.
As it was a wedding themed card I adhered a piece of white card to the inside front to cover up the wrap ends.
I placed two white silk flowers  in the centre of the horseshoe and a white triple bow underneath the flowers. Then in the bottom left corner I placed a chipboard bride & groom.

And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #121

Good morning!

A new challenge starts today over at
CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS
The theme is
3 OF A KIND
And our lovely sponsor is...
SCRAPPERS DELIGHT

Here is my inspiration card

I made a crossover card using a tutorial from TERESA ALLDAY
Many thanks to Teresa for sharing her creation and allowing me to use my card.
If you would like to try making a card like this please do go to Teresa's blog and follow her tutorial.

I cut out the base card and used some lovely papers from my stash to cover it.
I cut out three pictures of vinatge ladies and backed them with some plain white card to strengthen them. I put some narrow lace along the edge of both sides of the crossover and then adhered some flatback fancy pearl embellishment on top of the lace.
I placed some co-ordinating flowers from my stash on the left side front and used some die cut leaves and butterflies to decorate around the flowers.
I used a small 'For You' sentiment from my stash also.
Finally I placed the three ladies into the pocket of the card.
And thats it!
A quick and easy card but very effective.

I hope you like what I did and it will maybe inspire you to enter our challenge...I do hope so.
Please visit our other DT members too and see what they came up.

LETS CRAFT & CREATE #110

Good morning!

A new challenge starts today over at
LACE & PEARLS

Here is my inspiration card

I used a 6x6 base card to start with and covered the front in a pretty floral patterned paper from FIRST EDITION BELLA ROSE paper pad. Love these papers. This one has a pearl sheen to it, very pretty.
I used two shades of pink to make two layers, one just a strip approximately 3.5ins wide, the other a square measuring approximately 5x4.5. Instead of cutting these I just ripped them to make a 'ragged' edge, making it look more 'shabby'
I wrapped a piece of Guipure lace around these two pices and adhered it to the back before adhering them to the front of the card. Across the top of this lace I placed another piece of lace, this one being finer, and placed it across the front adhering across the top. It overlaps the guipure lace.
In the top right corner I placed a white resin heart embellishment from PRIMA.
I love decorative chipboards...and I used an intricate detail border, and a small lace doily..I placed these just above the lace.
I 'fussy cut' a pretty frame picture which came with some papers in my stash, I placed it at a slight angle over the doily and border.
At the left edge I placed some flowers in shades of pink/red that were in my stash and purchased from PETAL LU. I used a few green leaves also. I put two pearl stick pins at the top of the flowers too.
To the right of the frame I added a tag, again from a paper pack in my stash, and placed a pink bow at the top.
And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

Please do visit our other DT members to see their fabulous creations too.

(was 2CRAFTY GIRLS)

The theme is
FANTASY
And our lovely sponsor is...

3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES

So here is my inspiration card....
I made a CAS card this time as I felt the image did not need anything that was over the top.

I used the image A SPECIAL STAR
which can be purchased HERE

I coloured the image using Copics markers.
(One day I will remember to make note of colours)

I cut a 6x6 base card and layered the front with a 6x6 mat in dark blue...
to give the effect of a night sky. I used card I already had in my stash.

I made a small sentiment, 'WISH UPON A STAR' on white card, which I printed and cut out using my SILHOUETTE CAMEO.
I put it on to a piece of the dark blue card and placed it using small foam pads in the top left corner. I put the tiny star that was part of the image in the bottom left corner of the sentiment.
I put a smaller sentiment in the bottom right corner.
I put a few dots of silver glitter glue here and there to give the effect of stars.
And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

Good morning!

A new challenge starts today over at OUR CRAFTY CORNER.
And our lovely sponsor is...

Here is my inspiration card

I used the image NURSE DARCEE
which can be purchased from My Stitch Back In Twine.

So I made this using an A4 sheet of card which I cut in half long ways making a C6 top opening card.
I cut a piece of patterned paper same size as front of card and used DS sticky tape to place it.
I cut another piece, slightly smaller in a nice stripey nurse type paper.

I coloured the image using Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.
(One day I will remember to make note of colours)
I cut out a square around her and just left the background as is.
I used DS foam pads to place the image in the centre front.
In the bottom left corner I placed a small 'Get Well' sentiment.

And thats my DT card for this time.

I glued the two mats together then wrapped some silver grey ribbon around the two mats and stuck it down on the underside.
I added a small bow to the left side of the ribbon.

In the top left corner I placed one blue flower with two green leaves and in the bottom right corner I placed a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from stash.

JADE'S SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES #11

ADD A TAG TO YOUR CARD/PROJECT

Our sponsor for this challenge is
THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE
And the prize is...
3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES

I chose to use the image DOLL WITH HEART
This is what I came up with....

I use a red base card approx 5x7" and mat and layered it with 2 pices of card, one in red paper the other with a flourish frame print. Both from the PION DESIGN new paper FOR MY VALENTINE.
I took a verse and a tag from the same pad and placed one in the top left corner, the other in the top right corner. At the top of the tag I placed some red flowers from PETAL LU and made a bow from some red jute twine. I then made a triple bow from some really pretty red ribbon and placed it between the verse card and the coloured image in the bottom right corner which I put at a slight angle.
The image was coloured using SPECTRUM NOIR markers.

Hope you like my little card and will gain some inspiration from it.
Please do visit our other DT members blogs for more inspiration.

Thank you for visiting today.
Have a lovely day and happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #56

Sadly this is my last DT project for CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE.
I have decided to step down from the DT so I have more time to work on my colouring.
I would like to thank Lisa and Eileen for allowing me to be a part of their team for this short time and wish them the very best of luck with the challenges. Also to the other DT members I say a fond farewell but I am sure we will 'bump into one another' around the blogs.

The theme for ths challenge is ANYTHING GOES
And our wonderful sponsors are....

For this challenge I chose to use the ROSALEE image.
And this is my project.....

So I started off with a 6x8" base card and covered the front in a lovely red paper from the new Pion Design 'TO MY VALENTINE' papers. These really are very pretty papers but I love Pion Design so maybe Im biased lol.
It kind of fitted perfectly with the red roses in the image.

I coloured the image with SPECTRUM NOIR and my new COPICS which just arrived a few days ago. I love them! Eventually I am hoping to have all the COPIC markers.

I made a double bow in a deep red ribbon, cut a piece of a border and a ticket sentiment from the same Pion Design papers. I added the image at a slight angle in the top right corner...and dotted a few spots of red glitter glue to make some 'sparkly gems'.

I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it and join us for this challenge.
We look forward to seeing your creations.

I hope you will take a peek at our other DT's blogs for more inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by today and please do leave me a comment so I know you have visited and I can return the visit :)
Have a lovely day and happy crafting!

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #120

The theme for this challenge is
RIBBON & PEARLS
Our sponsors for this challenge are....

For this challenge I used an image from STITCHYBEAR

This is what I did with the image for my DT inspiration

I coloured her using SPECTRUM NOIR markers and used pretty shades of pink.

I made a 5.5"x 5.5" white base card.
I cut a piece to cover the front from a pretty pad I just purchased
FLORAL PAVILION from FRIST EDITION PAPERS.
I cut a piece of deep pink ribbon and placed it across the front of the patterned paper before sticking it to the front of the base card.
Then I added a double bow in the same pink ribbon.
I added a white branch with some small pink flowers with a pearl in the centre then 3 deep pink pearls in the top right corner. I also put 2 of these pearls on the front of the Babybugs dress top.
Lastly I added a 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' sentiment in the top left corner.

Hope you like what I did and gain some inspiration from it.
Please do visit our other DT members and see what they created.

JADE'S SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES #10

Theme for this challenge is
ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

Our sponsors are
with a prize of
3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES
and
with a prize of
3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES

So you may be thinking about the blog name...
JADES SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES
was
2 CRAFTY GIRLS

The blog owner JADE MORRISON decided to change the name to something more appropriate for us and this is what Jade and the DT came up with. More than appropriate I would say!

So on to my project for this challenge.
The image I chose to use was CHRISTMAS ANGEL from ROBYN'S FETISH.
This is what I made with it.

I used some lovely papers from PION DESIGN.
Lovely papers!

I layered a white base card with a beige mix mat and on top of that I put a grey mat.
It gave a lovely contrast I thought.
Around the mats I placed a piece of silver glittery netting then tied a bow in the same netting and  placed it to the left side.
I added some white Poinsettia flowers and Holly leaves in the top left corner and on the right side I placed the coloured image which I coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
I placed a sentiment between the flowers and netting bow.
Not very Christmas style but enough 'brightness (in the netting) and beauty (the angel and flowers)' to cover our theme.

So I hope this will give you some different inspiration.
Please do visit our other DT members and see their inspiration too.
They have all done some beautiful work as always.

So I hope you will join us in this challenge and we look forward to seeing what you create.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Happy crafting!

The prize is 4 DIGI IMAGES

My DT project for this challenge is...

I used a cutting file from the Silhouette Design shop for this project.
A bottle tag.

I used a lovely paper pad I recently purchased from SCRAP AND CRAFT called HIDDEN DESIRES. I used one 12 x 12 sheet and used both sides to get the contrast. I thought it worked quite well.

The image NEW YEAR BABY I coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
I added some glitter, which sadly does not show up very well on the picture and added a few silver stars for a bit more 'sparkle'.
I placed the coloured image on the main tag piece at a slight angle.
I added a circle embellishment and the word 'Cheers' to the circle. Put on a few dabs of glitter glue and added a few silver stars.
And that was all it needed really.

Hope my little project will give you some ideas for your entry.
Please do visit our other DT members. They also have some fabulous inspiration for you too.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #119

The theme for this challenge is
MONOCHROME

And our lovely sponsor is
with a fabulous prize of
7 DIGI IMAGES!

As the theme is MONOCHROME for this challenge I had some pretty pink papers to use.
And as I had coloured the image in pinks it wasnt a hard choice.

So here is my DT inspiration for this challenge....

I chose the cute image
KID POCKET TOPPER - GIRL WITH BOW
I coloured her with SPECTRUM NOIR MARKERS

I started with a fuschia pink 8 x 8in. base card.
I cut out a stand for the back of the card, so it is a single sided card.
I cut a mat 6.25in. square in pale pink cardstock  and stuck it to the front of the base card.
Next I cut a 5.5in. suare mat in a pink and white checked cardstock and added it on top of the pale pink mat at a slight angle.
In the top left corner I added a layered butterfly. I cut out the bottom layer in the fuschia pink card and the top lacey layer in the pale pink card. I stuck them together and folded the wings of the top layer upwards slightly then placed two self-adhesive pink pearls on the body.
In the top right corner I added a bow made from netting in a pale pink. It has a sheen to it so looked quite pretty. Then right in the top corner I placed a few self-adhesive pink pearls.
In the bottom right corner I placed the coloured image at a slight angle. Then in the bottom left corner I placed some paper flowers cut from the pink and white checked paper I used for the top mat layer.
I placed a small pink pearl in the centre and added two or three pearl strands around the flowers.
In the centre I placed a small card sentiment.

And thats my DT card for this challenge.

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #109

The theme for this challenge is
LAYER IT UP

Here is my DT inspiration for you....hope it will help with some ideas.

I cut a white base card measuring 5.5 x 6ins.
I chose some patterned papers from STUDIO75 for the mats.
I cut two contrasting pieces of card for the mats.
One piece slightly smaller than the base card and the other slightly smaller than the first.

Then I cut a FLOURISH HEART using a die from APPLE BLOSSOM.
It is quite an intricate die but it cut beautifully! I cut this in a very pale lemon cardstock just to give a hint of a contrast colour. I placed this on the card front in the centre.

In the bottom right corner I placed some small white paper flowers and branches.
In the bottom left corner I placed a bow made from some wide silk ribbon in a beige colour.
It has a lovely sheen to it!

Finally in the top left corner I placed a die cut sentiment. I placed this with sticky pads to give it depth.

Plain and simple but very pretty.
I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it and enter our challenge.
Please do visit our other DT members blog to see what inspiration they came up with.

So we look forward to seeing all your entries!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a super day!
And happy crafting!!
