CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #114

Theme is EMBOSSING
and our sponsor is

he prize for this challenge is 3 images from our sponsors store so come along and join in the fun!
I decided to make a tag for my DT project and use a Scrappers Delight image I already had.

I love Christmas and Poinsettias so this image was perfect.
Ive not done a lot of colouringbut I was really pleased with how this turned out.

First I cut out a tag shape, on my Silhouette Cameo, using Kraft card. I cut it out twice and stuck them together using double-sided sticky tape. I prefer it to glue for some projects.
I covered the back of the tag in some Xmas looking stripey paper from my stash.
I always have lots of little bits of left over card I can use for small bits for a card.
Next I covered the front in a green Xmas themed paper and stuck it again with double-sided tape.
I then cut half a tag out on my Cameo in a red embossed card and stuck that to my tag in the same way as before.
I then added a small laser cut Xmas bauble with red and green twine threaded through the top. I placed this at an angle in the bottom right corner, the twine I fastened under the petals of the Poinsettia.

I coloured the Poinsettia using Spectrum Noir pens with these colours...
FLOWER PETALS:
DR7, DR6, DR4, CR11, CR6
LEAVES:
JG6, DG3, DG4, CG4, LG5
CENTRE:
OR1, LY3
In the bottom left corner I placed a small printed Xmas sentiment.
In the top right corner I put a red heart on a peg and through the hole in the top of the tag I threaded a piece of red ribbon and tied a knot.
Everything I used came from my own stash.
I hope you like what I did and will come along and join in our challenge.
I hope too my project will give you lots of inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations.

Happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #51

THEME IS - ANYTHING GOES

SPONSORED BY ALL DRESSED UP

Hello - Im here today to share my CCC DT contribution with you.
I hope it gives you a little inspiration and encouragement to join in with our challenge.
With Christmas coming up there are so many different creations to make!
I chose a card for this pretty image 3 LITTLE CHRISTMAS GIRLS from All Dressed Up.

I coloured her outfit in blue, on her hat and dress fur I put some glitter...
After I coloured her I used my Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight to die-cut around the image.
I used an A4 piece of dark blue card to make a 6 x 61/2 base card.
I cut a mat from some gorgeous papers I have in my stash, Glistening Season from Pion.
I added this to my base card at a slight angle to the left...on top of that I placed the mat with the coloured image at a slight angle to the right.
In the bottom right corner I added some pale blue sticky pearls and a piece of handmade holly.
In the bottom left corner I added some dried flower stems and a white poinsettia to make a small bouquet embellishment. I love flowers!
I cut out a Xmas greeting in blue mirror card and placed it in the top left corner and added another piece of holly right below it.

On the inside of my card I cut another piece of Glistening Season paper, this time a piece with writing on. In the top right corner I added a small vintage style Xmas tag at an angle and in the opposite corner a winter scene stamp.

I hope you like what I did and that you will visit our other DT members blogs also.

Happy crafting and look forward to seeing you join us!

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #107

CHALLENGE #107

Theme is...
 LOTS OF BLING

Good morning!
I am here today to share my DT card for Lets Craft and Create Challenge #107.
The theme for this challenge is LOTS OF BLING.
I hope you like what I did.

I scored and folded in half an A4 piece of kraft card to make my card base.
I cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller and stuck this to the front of my card.
I put a ribbon slider on some wide brown ribbon and placed it near to top..I stuck the top and bottom ends of the ribbon to the inside of my card using double-sided tape.
I added self-adhesive bling flourish to the right side of my card.
In the centre I placed a large coloured daisy with some gold twists and glued them in place with some 3D glue gel. I added a gold bow just underneath the flower.
In the top right corner I put a few self-adhesive clear bling around the corner then added a small sentiment just below it.

 Inside of my card.
I cut out another contrasting base, scored and cut it in half to cover the inside of my card.
It also covered the ends of the ribbon I had stuck to the inside.
I did not add much to the inside, just a small stamp image that I cut out from the paper pad I used.
To make this card I used the following....
Self adhesive bling flourish from WANT 2 SCRAP
Brown ribbon, daisy, gold ribbon (for bow), clear self-adhesive bling, sentiment...all from my stash.
Paper pad was Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden...beautiful papers.
These can be purchased in the UK.
So I hope you like my bit of inspiration for this challenge and that you will stop by all the other designers blogs and see their creations too!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope we will see you joining in with us.

Happy crafting!

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #113

CHALLENGE #113

Good morning to you all!
I have been really honoured to be asked to join the Design Team at
CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS
Today is my first inspiration post and I am really happy to be a part of this team.

The theme for today is ALL DRESSED UP/GIRLY and the sponsor is

ALL DRESSED UP STAMPS
So here is the card I made for this inspiration post.

I made a 6 x 6 card blank from blue card in my stash.
I cut two pieces of patterned card to cover the front and inside the card.
Inside I added a small gift tag with a contrasting pretty pattern and added a piece of blue ribbon with a knot tied in it and adhered it to the inside.

On the front I added the image from ALL DRESSED UP.
I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Pens and adhered it to a piece of plain blue card the same as the card blank. I put some silver border peel offs around the edges to take away the plainess of the card.
I added distress ink to the edges of a sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card with sticky pads to lift it up slightly.
I adhered a blue bow to the bottom right corner and a cream lacy flower to the top right corner.

I look forward to seeing all your entries and wish everyone the very best of luck.
I hope you find my inspiration useful.
As always take care and happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #50

CHALLENGE #50

 - Anything Goes
Sponsor for this challenge is THE CUTTING CAFE

I made 2 step cards for this challenge...I couldnt decide which I preferred lol.
This is the first time I have made a step card.
So here are my cards....

The first card I cut out the base using a pretty paper from a pad 'The Cricket on the Hearth'
Its a gorgeous paper design from Galeria Papieru which I purchased from SCRAP & CRAFT
The toppers were another pretty paper in my stash but this time from LIVE & LOVE CRAFTS
These are two of my favourite places for purchasing additions to my stash.
The poinsettias, holly and gold twine were from my stash also.

This base for the second card was also cut out from the same paper pad as the first.
I used a fabric poinsettia and chipboard bell from LIVE & LOVE CRAFTS
The 'Merry Xmas' sentiment, tag and First Day of Christmas border are from Graphics45 Xmas Carol & 12 Days of Xmas paper pads. I love G45 papers.
The red twine is from my stash.

I hope you like what I did and I hope you will come and join in the fun with us.

Why dont you stop by the other designers blogs and see what they did too.
