CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #53

Good morning!
Here we are with another challenge at CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE.
We have two lovely sponsors yet again and I would like to thank to them for allowing the DT to use their images for this challenge. I hope we did them justice.

Our theme this challenge is ANYTHING GOES
and
Our sponsors for this challenge are
KARLEIGH SUE

The prize for this challenge is...
4 DIGI IMAGES.

I decided to make a box for my DT inspiration for this challenge.
I used ITS MY BIRTHDAY and coloured it using Spectrum Noir Markers.

I made the base box in white and covered the top in a pretty paper.
I placed the coloured image on the right side with foam pads for a 3D effect.
In the top left corner I added a pretty flower from SCRAP & CRAFT one of my favourite places for purchasing my craft stash.
Underneath the flower I added a sentiment again placed with foam pads.
In the centre of the box I placed a self-adhesive sparkly flourish from my stash.

I hope you like what I did and get some inspiration from it.
Happy crafting! and hope you will join us for this challenge.

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #108

The theme is CHRISTMAS!

For my DT inspiration this challenge I chose to make a card that was a little whimsical maybe....
I used some cute images I printed out from a CRAFTERS COMPANION INSPIRATION cd I have..
it has some lovely Nordic style images and papers on it.

I made a 5x7 blank from white cardstock.
I covered the front with  green patterned paper I printed from the cd also.
Inside I covered with a piece of blue card from my stash.
I printed a sheet of toppers from the cd and cut out a Santa & reindeer one.
I added this to the front of the card with sticky pads.
In the bottom right corner I added a bow I made using 'Merry Christmas' ribbon from my stash.
I didnt think it needed anything else adding.

I hope you will get some inspiration and ideas from my card.
Happy crafting! and we hope you will join us for this challenge.

So here is my inspiration card...

I used a nice Xmas red card from my stash to make the base card blank.
I put a die cut topper from a paper pad from STUDIO LIGHT in my stash.
In the border on the left of the topper I placed the coloured Christmas Bells image.
I put it on with sticky pads to give it a 3D effect.
In the top right corner I placed a small sentiment, a bow tied from some gold coloured cord and placed a paper Poinsettia on top.
In the bottom right corner I placed a die cut snowflake from the same paper pad as the topper.
In the centre I put a pice of handmade holly.

On the inside of the card I put a strip of music sheet paper across the centre.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #115

THEME IS 'BRR...ITS COLD OUTSIDE'

Good morning and welcome to our challenge at Crafting For All Seasons
Our sponsor for this challenge is THAT CRAFT PLACE.
The prize is 3 images from THAT CRAFT PLACE
The image I used for my inspiration card is 'LET IT SNOW'
And here is what I did with it....

I made a 5x7 card blank then printed out a background paper from a Crafters Companion CD which had part of 'Romany Christmas' on it. The paper was 7x7 so I turned the card blank on its side and adhered the background paper to it that way. A small piece was above the fold in the card.
I took  some tags from a Nordic Christmas paper pad in my stash and adhered one to to the top left corner at an angle. The other I placed in the bottom left corner. I placed a self adhesive clear gem to the top of the bottom tag and another to the top of a tree in the background paper. I made a small bow from some blue & white striped ribbon in my stash and put tht at the left side of the card.
I placed the coloured image to the right side of the card.
She originally had some snowballs as part of the image but unfortunately I cut them off when I was cutting out the image so I improvised and used tiny pieces of a cotton wool ball and stuck them on the card for snowballs.
I tied a small just bow to the top of the tag placed at the top of the card.

I hope you like what I did and find a little inspiration from it.
I look forward to seeing your entries into our challenge.

Happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #52

Theme is CHRISTMAS and our sponsor is PPINKYDOLLS

The prize for this challenge is
3 DIGI IMAGES OF YOUR CHOICE
so come along and join in the fun!
This is my DT inspiration for this challenge.

I cut a 6x6 card blank from red card I had in my stash.
I cut a piece slightly smaller in a red spotted card to make a mat for the front of the card and also for the inside.
I coloured the 'ELF AND SNOWMAN' image, which can be purchased from Ppinkydolls shop HERE, using my Spectrum Noir markers. I cut around the image leaving a narrow border which I coloured in a soft grey. I am only just starting with colouring so its not perfect lol.
I had a short piece of Xmas ribbon which I stuck to the top left corner but made it so it was away from the card in the middle.
I stuck the image to the card using sticky pads to raise it off the card slightly...I tied some green, red and white jute twine to make a bow and stuck that to my card with glue. On top I added a poinsettia paper flower. In the top right and bottom left corners I put 3 pieces of Holly in each corner.

I hope you find some inspiration from my card.
Look forward to seeing your creations in the challenge!

Happy crafting!!

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #114

Theme is EMBOSSING
and our sponsor is

he prize for this challenge is 3 images from our sponsors store so come along and join in the fun!
I decided to make a tag for my DT project and use a Scrappers Delight image I already had.

I love Christmas and Poinsettias so this image was perfect.
Ive not done a lot of colouringbut I was really pleased with how this turned out.

First I cut out a tag shape, on my Silhouette Cameo, using Kraft card. I cut it out twice and stuck them together using double-sided sticky tape. I prefer it to glue for some projects.
I covered the back of the tag in some Xmas looking stripey paper from my stash.
I always have lots of little bits of left over card I can use for small bits for a card.
Next I covered the front in a green Xmas themed paper and stuck it again with double-sided tape.
I then cut half a tag out on my Cameo in a red embossed card and stuck that to my tag in the same way as before.
I then added a small laser cut Xmas bauble with red and green twine threaded through the top. I placed this at an angle in the bottom right corner, the twine I fastened under the petals of the Poinsettia.

I coloured the Poinsettia using Spectrum Noir pens with these colours...
FLOWER PETALS:
DR7, DR6, DR4, CR11, CR6
LEAVES:
JG6, DG3, DG4, CG4, LG5
CENTRE:
OR1, LY3
In the bottom left corner I placed a small printed Xmas sentiment.
In the top right corner I put a red heart on a peg and through the hole in the top of the tag I threaded a piece of red ribbon and tied a knot.
Everything I used came from my own stash.
I hope you like what I did and will come along and join in our challenge.
I hope too my project will give you lots of inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations.

Happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #51

THEME IS - ANYTHING GOES

SPONSORED BY ALL DRESSED UP

Hello - Im here today to share my CCC DT contribution with you.
I hope it gives you a little inspiration and encouragement to join in with our challenge.
With Christmas coming up there are so many different creations to make!
I chose a card for this pretty image 3 LITTLE CHRISTMAS GIRLS from All Dressed Up.

I coloured her outfit in blue, on her hat and dress fur I put some glitter...
After I coloured her I used my Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight to die-cut around the image.
I used an A4 piece of dark blue card to make a 6 x 61/2 base card.
I cut a mat from some gorgeous papers I have in my stash, Glistening Season from Pion.
I added this to my base card at a slight angle to the left...on top of that I placed the mat with the coloured image at a slight angle to the right.
In the bottom right corner I added some pale blue sticky pearls and a piece of handmade holly.
In the bottom left corner I added some dried flower stems and a white poinsettia to make a small bouquet embellishment. I love flowers!
I cut out a Xmas greeting in blue mirror card and placed it in the top left corner and added another piece of holly right below it.

On the inside of my card I cut another piece of Glistening Season paper, this time a piece with writing on. In the top right corner I added a small vintage style Xmas tag at an angle and in the opposite corner a winter scene stamp.

I hope you like what I did and that you will visit our other DT members blogs also.

Happy crafting and look forward to seeing you join us!

The list below are some of the places I purchased the items to make this card and lots more of the other crafty goodies in my craft stash.
