CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #55

Theme for this challenge is
RELEASE THE GLITTER

And our lovely sponsors are
The prize is 4 DIGI IMAGES
and
The prize is 4 DIGI IMAGES

My DT project for this challenge is...

I used a cutting file from the Silhouette Design shop for this project.
A bottle tag.

I used a lovely paper pad I recently purchased from SCRAP AND CRAFT called HIDDEN DESIRES. I used one 12 x 12 sheet and used both sides to get the contrast. I thought it worked quite well.

The image NEW YEAR BABY I coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
I added some glitter, which sadly does not show up very well on the picture and added a few silver stars for a bit more 'sparkle'.
I placed the coloured image on the main tag piece at a slight angle.
I added a circle embellishment and the word 'Cheers' to the circle. Put on a few dabs of glitter glue and added a few silver stars.
And that was all it needed really.

Hope my little project will give you some ideas for your entry.
Please do visit our other DT members. They also have some fabulous inspiration for you too.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #119

The theme for this challenge is
MONOCHROME

And our lovely sponsor is
with a fabulous prize of
7 DIGI IMAGES!

As the theme is MONOCHROME for this challenge I had some pretty pink papers to use.
And as I had coloured the image in pinks it wasnt a hard choice.

So here is my DT inspiration for this challenge....

I chose the cute image
KID POCKET TOPPER - GIRL WITH BOW
I coloured her with SPECTRUM NOIR MARKERS

I started with a fuschia pink 8 x 8in. base card.
I cut out a stand for the back of the card, so it is a single sided card.
I cut a mat 6.25in. square in pale pink cardstock  and stuck it to the front of the base card.
Next I cut a 5.5in. suare mat in a pink and white checked cardstock and added it on top of the pale pink mat at a slight angle.
In the top left corner I added a layered butterfly. I cut out the bottom layer in the fuschia pink card and the top lacey layer in the pale pink card. I stuck them together and folded the wings of the top layer upwards slightly then placed two self-adhesive pink pearls on the body.
In the top right corner I added a bow made from netting in a pale pink. It has a sheen to it so looked quite pretty. Then right in the top corner I placed a few self-adhesive pink pearls.
In the bottom right corner I placed the coloured image at a slight angle. Then in the bottom left corner I placed some paper flowers cut from the pink and white checked paper I used for the top mat layer.
I placed a small pink pearl in the centre and added two or three pearl strands around the flowers.
In the centre I placed a small card sentiment.

And thats my DT card for this challenge.
I hope you like it and will get some inspiration from it.

Please do visit our other DT members.
They too have some fabulous projects to share.

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #109

The theme for this challenge is
LAYER IT UP

Here is my DT inspiration for you....hope it will help with some ideas.

I cut a white base card measuring 5.5 x 6ins.
I chose some patterned papers from STUDIO75 for the mats.
I cut two contrasting pieces of card for the mats.
One piece slightly smaller than the base card and the other slightly smaller than the first.

Then I cut a FLOURISH HEART using a die from APPLE BLOSSOM.
It is quite an intricate die but it cut beautifully! I cut this in a very pale lemon cardstock just to give a hint of a contrast colour. I placed this on the card front in the centre.

In the bottom right corner I placed some small white paper flowers and branches.
In the bottom left corner I placed a bow made from some wide silk ribbon in a beige colour.
It has a lovely sheen to it!

Finally in the top left corner I placed a die cut sentiment. I placed this with sticky pads to give it depth.

Plain and simple but very pretty.
I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it and enter our challenge.
Please do visit our other DT members blog to see what inspiration they came up with.

So we look forward to seeing all your entries!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a super day!

CRAFTY ADDICTS FACEBOOK GROUP #2

The theme for this challenge is ANYTHING GOES - with the option LET IT SNOW

Our sponsor for this challenge is
LACY SUNSHINE

For this challenge it had to be one last Christmas card. I love Christmas and all the wintry scenes that go with it. All white and the lovely red of the Poinsettias and the green of the Holly.

So this is what I decided to do for my DT inspiration post.
A typical Christmas card with all the above named elemnents.

This is a cutting file for my Silhouette Cameo that I purchased some time ago from
CRAFTS U PRINT
It is a design by a lady called LYNN SIMMS. She makes some beautiful card files at very reasonable prices. I love her files.

So I started off and cut out the base card in red cardstock. I folded this along the score line making a DL card and turned it on its side.
Then I cut a layer in a red marble effect cardstock and finally the top white fancy layer.
I matted and layered the white card to the marble effect red card then adhered the mat to the red base card.
I have some very pretty papers from MAJA DESIGN which I purchased from LIVE AND LOVE CRAFTS another place I love to shop for my stash.
I wrapped some gold ribbon around a long thin piece of card across the top of the white mat then I arranged holly leaves, fern and little rolled acorns all cut out on my Cameo. These came as part of the card file. I placed a piece of the gold ribbon in the centre of the leaves and fern and added a deep red burlap and paper Poinsettia on top of the gold ribbon.
I cut out a SEASONS GREETINGS sentiment in the marble red card, some Holly in the bottom right corner and a snowy scene small picture tilted at an angle to the bottom left corner.

I think this card has a very pretty effect.
I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it.
Please consider joining in with our challenge. Wew ould love to see you!

Thank you for visiting me today and come back very soon.

Have a lovely day!

2 CRAFTY GIRLS #9

The theme for this challenge is
WINTER BLUES
And our lovely sponsors are

Christmas is fast approaching and there is still lots to do!
I chose to create a very simple card for this challenge.
(The boxes in the front are just for the photograph)

I coloured the image 'WINTER WALK' using Spectrum Noir markers.
I cut roughly around the outside leaving a background...I dotted some light grey spots around, added some glue and sprinkle some glitter over it.
I used a basic card in white and covered the front with a nordic style paper.
I added the image to the bottom half of the card and put a couple of heart embellishments to each side.
At the top I added a sentiment which I added at an angle. On the other side I put a tag embellishment.
You can decorate your cards very effectively with embellishments of all shapes and sizes.

I hope you like what I did and will gain a little inspiration from it.
Id like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas and my very best wishes for 2016.

I hope you will take a moment or two to visit our other DT blogs. They have some amazing projects to share.
Thank you for stopping by today and we hope you will join us in the challenge.

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #54

The Theme for this Challenge is....
ADD SOME SPARKLE

And our sponsor is LACY SUNSHINE
Huge thanks to Lacy Sunshine!

Prize for this challenge is..
3 DIGI IMAGES of the winners choice!

So my DT inspiration this time around.
I decided on something simple.

I used the image EMILY SPRING LADYBUGS from LACY SUNSHINE.
So I made a birthday card...Christmas cards are always pretty but there comes a time when we have to move away from the Season.

So for my card I used a dark blue base card.
I matted and layered 2 pieces of card from a pretty paper pad in my stash. I tied a piece of contrast blue ribbon around the mats before adhering it to the main card.
The image turned out quite good I thought (I am a colouring novice Im afraid so not perfect).
I put this on to the card with foam pads to give it some depth.
In the top left corner I put a tini pennant banner across the corner and in the top right I added a blue sparkly gem.
I made a small bow (getting quite good at this even if I do say so myself) in the same blue ribbon as the piece I put round the mats.
Above that I placed a Birthday sentiment tag and below it I placed another blue sparkly gem.

I think it made a pretty Birthday card!
But then Im biased :)

Please consider paying a visit to our other DT members blogs for more inspiration.

We hope very much you will join us for this challenge and we look forward to once seeing some lovely creations.

Have a lovely day and my very best wishes to you for Christmas and the New year!
Happy crafting!

2 CRAFTY GIRLS #8

Well here I am again with another DT inspirational post!
This time for the reopening challenge at 2 CRAFTY GIRLS
A lovely lady Jade Morrison has reopened this blog and restarted the challenges. So a huge thank you to Jade for this and all her hard work getting this off the ground.

The theme is ANYTHING GOES and our lovely sponsor this time around is

So my first DT inspirational post for this lovely team.

I started off with a dark blue blank base.
I chose the image HEARTS WITH RIBBON from PATTIES CREATIONS.
I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir markers, cut around it and coloured the background a blue/grey colour. White was too much.
I added a square piece of patterened background paper to the centre of the card as a mat, leaving a piece of the base card showing at either side.
I added a sentiment topper to the left side of my card and the coloured image to the right side.
At the top left of the coloured image I added 2 stars and at the bottom right corner I added a sparly gem. Above the sentiment topper I added a triple loop bow in black & white gingham.
Everything to make this card came from my stash.

I hope you like my little bit of inspiration to you and it will give the encouragement to come and join in the fun with us. We would love to see your creations!
Please also take a look at our other DT members and see what they have created too.
