CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND - JULY 2016

Good morning!

I just love Christmas cards and making them.
So I was very happy to be asked to join the DT of
CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND

This challenge blog is being re-opened by the owner,
DEANNE CLARKE-SAUNDERS
So I am really excited to be a part of the team!

The first new challenge started on 01 July with the theme
ANYTHING CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY
And this is my inspiration post as part of the
Christmas Belles DT

Here is my inspiration card

I used the image SNOWMEN TRIO image.

I embossed the front of a 5x7 card with a Christmas baubles embossing folder.

I added some glitter glue in various places, placed a red bow on each of three baubles in the embossing. I coloured the image with Copics, die cut it out with a circle die.

Then placed a stamped Christmas sentiment in the bottom left corner.

And thats my DT card for this time.

THE CRAFTY ADDICTS FB GROUP CHALLENGE #9 ANYTHING GOES/USE A SENTIMENT

Good morning!

Here is my inspiration post for the July challenge at
THE CRAFTY ADDICTS FACEBOOK GROUP
The theme this month is
ANYTHING GOES/USE A SENTIMENT

I chose to use the image
TAIL OF TWO KITTIES
which is available HERE

Here is my inspiration card

I used some oddments of card from my bit-box.

I matted and layered 3 pieces of grey floral card and put them in place using foam pads.

I wrapped some beige twine around the top mats several times and tied it with a bow.

I placed the imade on top again using foam pads..it was coloured using Copics.

Lastly I placed a sentiment in the top left corner again using foam pads.

And thats my DT card for this time.

WINTER WONDERLAND - LET'S SEE A XMAS TREE

Good morning!

Another new challenge starts today over at

Here is  my inspiration card....

I started with a 6x6 base using white card.
I matted and layered the front with a blue & cream PION DESIGN Christmas paper from my stash.
I used a CHRISTMAS GREETING strip from the same collection and a topper. I also used a vintage Christmas tag. I placed both the topper and tag behind the greeting strip. Finally I placed a red bow under the greeting strip and a piece of handmade Holly in the top right corner.

And thats my DT card for this time.

LET'S CRAFT & CREATE CHALLENGE #115 FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Good morning!

We have a new challenge starting today over at
LET'S CRAFT & CREATE

The theme for this challenge is....
FOUR-LEGGED FRIENDS
There is a lovely prize up for grabs too so come along and join in!

So here is my inspiration card...

I chose a Bo Bunni image from a Crafters Companion CD I had in my stash.
I put these cd's on a shelf and forget about them...I really should check them out in future, they have some fabulous images and papers etc on them.
The pink background paper came from the same CD which actually was free with a 'CRAFTERS INSPIRATION' issue from CRAFTERS COMPANION.
I matted and layered the front of 6x6 white base card placing some of the mats at a slight angle.
I wrapped pink ribbon around the top mats and adhered it to the back out of sight, then placed a matching bow on top.
The image went to the right side at an angle and put in place with foam tape giving it extra lift.
A small sentiment went in the top left corner of the top mats.

And thats my DT card for this time.

CRAFTY ADDICTS FACEBOOK GROUP - CHALLENGE #8

Good morning!

Here is my inspiration card

The background paper has a slight glitter effect
but sadly it doesnt show very well in the picture...
I started off with a 4x5.5 base card and matted the front with
a glittery effect grey paper from my stash.
I coloured the image with Copics as always.
I placed a white pearl in the centre of each flower.
I placed a small sentiment in the bottom left corner.

And thats my DT card for this time.

I chose to create a NORDIC STYLE card again for this challenge.
I do love these style of cards.
Here is what I came up with....

I started with a base using white card.
I matted and layered the front with pretty papers from our sponsor.
I chose a topper from a Studio Light paper pad in my stash.
I decoupaged some of the elements to give more depth.
I used a white ribbon with glitter dots to make a bow for the sentiment topper.
I stamped the word 'CELEBRATE' on to a piece of the paper I used for the mats and placed it in the top left corner of the card.

And thats my DT card for this time.
