CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #51

THEME IS - ANYTHING GOES

SPONSORED BY ALL DRESSED UP

Hello - Im here today to share my CCC DT contribution with you.
I hope it gives you a little inspiration and encouragement to join in with our challenge.
With Christmas coming up there are so many different creations to make!
I chose a card for this pretty image 3 LITTLE CHRISTMAS GIRLS from All Dressed Up.

I coloured her outfit in blue, on her hat and dress fur I put some glitter...
After I coloured her I used my Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight to die-cut around the image.
I used an A4 piece of dark blue card to make a 6 x 61/2 base card.
I cut a mat from some gorgeous papers I have in my stash, Glistening Season from Pion.
I added this to my base card at a slight angle to the left...on top of that I placed the mat with the coloured image at a slight angle to the right.
In the bottom right corner I added some pale blue sticky pearls and a piece of handmade holly.
In the bottom left corner I added some dried flower stems and a white poinsettia to make a small bouquet embellishment. I love flowers!
I cut out a Xmas greeting in blue mirror card and placed it in the top left corner and added another piece of holly right below it.

On the inside of my card I cut another piece of Glistening Season paper, this time a piece with writing on. In the top right corner I added a small vintage style Xmas tag at an angle and in the opposite corner a winter scene stamp.

I hope you like what I did and that you will visit our other DT members blogs also.

Happy crafting and look forward to seeing you join us!

The list below are some of the places I purchased the items to make this card and lots more of the other crafty goodies in my craft stash.

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #107

CHALLENGE #107

Theme is...
 LOTS OF BLING

Good morning!
I am here today to share my DT card for Lets Craft and Create Challenge #107.
The theme for this challenge is LOTS OF BLING.
I hope you like what I did.

I scored and folded in half an A4 piece of kraft card to make my card base.
I cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller and stuck this to the front of my card.
I put a ribbon slider on some wide brown ribbon and placed it near to top..I stuck the top and bottom ends of the ribbon to the inside of my card using double-sided tape.
I added self-adhesive bling flourish to the right side of my card.
In the centre I placed a large coloured daisy with some gold twists and glued them in place with some 3D glue gel. I added a gold bow just underneath the flower.
In the top right corner I put a few self-adhesive clear bling around the corner then added a small sentiment just below it.

 Inside of my card.
I cut out another contrasting base, scored and cut it in half to cover the inside of my card.
It also covered the ends of the ribbon I had stuck to the inside.
I did not add much to the inside, just a small stamp image that I cut out from the paper pad I used.
To make this card I used the following....
Self adhesive bling flourish from WANT 2 SCRAP
Brown ribbon, daisy, gold ribbon (for bow), clear self-adhesive bling, sentiment...all from my stash.
Paper pad was Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden...beautiful papers.
These can be purchased in the UK.
So I hope you like my bit of inspiration for this challenge and that you will stop by all the other designers blogs and see their creations too!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope we will see you joining in with us.

Happy crafting!

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #113

CHALLENGE #113

Good morning to you all!
I have been really honoured to be asked to join the Design Team at
CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS
Today is my first inspiration post and I am really happy to be a part of this team.

The theme for today is ALL DRESSED UP/GIRLY and the sponsor is

ALL DRESSED UP STAMPS
So here is the card I made for this inspiration post.

I made a 6 x 6 card blank from blue card in my stash.
I cut two pieces of patterned card to cover the front and inside the card.
Inside I added a small gift tag with a contrasting pretty pattern and added a piece of blue ribbon with a knot tied in it and adhered it to the inside.

On the front I added the image from ALL DRESSED UP.
I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Pens and adhered it to a piece of plain blue card the same as the card blank. I put some silver border peel offs around the edges to take away the plainess of the card.
I added distress ink to the edges of a sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card with sticky pads to lift it up slightly.
I adhered a blue bow to the bottom right corner and a cream lacy flower to the top right corner.

I look forward to seeing all your entries and wish everyone the very best of luck.
I hope you find my inspiration useful.
As always take care and happy crafting!

I made 2 step cards for this challenge...I couldnt decide which I preferred lol.

Its a gorgeous paper design from Galeria Papieru which I purchased from SCRAP & CRAFT
The toppers were another pretty paper in my stash but this time from LIVE & LOVE CRAFTS
These are two of my favourite places for purchasing additions to my stash.
The poinsettias, holly and gold twine were from my stash also.

This base for the second card was also cut out from the same paper pad as the first.
I used a fabric poinsettia and chipboard bell from LIVE & LOVE CRAFTS
The 'Merry Xmas' sentiment, tag and First Day of Christmas border are from Graphics45 Xmas Carol & 12 Days of Xmas paper pads. I love G45 papers.
The red twine is from my stash.

I hope you like what I did and I hope you will come and join in the fun with us.

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #105

CHALLENGE #105

 The theme is...
USE DIES OR PUNCHES

My DT sample for this challenge is a simple birthday card.
I used a lovely floral card from one of the GRAPHIC45 collections to mat & layer the base card.
I used a flower edge die cut frame, cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, for the centre.
I added a sentiment to the centre of that frame.
I cut out some small flowers in the same pretty flower and white card as I used for the mat. I added a pink pearl to the centre of the flowers.
I cut out a delicate butterfly using the same flower card for the base and white card for the top layer.
I did the same for a bow, added a pearl to the centre of this also, then I placed it at the bottom centre of the card.
I added some tiny pink stick-on pearls to the body of the butterfly and more pearls to the top left corner of the card.
To finish it all off I cut out a card stand for the back of the card on the Silhouette Cameo.
I hope you like what I did.

Hugs
Mary

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #100

Hello everyone!
I have been invited by to join LETS CREATE & CRAFT Design Team!
What a lovely group of ladies!
I want to send a huge 'Thank you' to Eileen Dobson for the invite.
This is a new experience for me and I hope I can learn lots from this new venture along with making lots of new friends.
The challenge for April is ... SEASONAL FLOWERS

I loved making this card as I am addicted to flowers!

To make this card I have used....

White card
Blue vellum
TATTERED LACE Embossing Folder Fretwork Lace
Tiny self adhesive gems
Paper Forget-me-Nots from PETAL LU
Blue striped ribbon
Various files cut out with my Silhouette Cameo

I embossed the layers and made a pocket.
I used blue distress ink on the edges of all the layers.
I cut out a tag and wrote a sentiment on it, tied a piece of blue striped ribbon through the hole at the top and slipped the tag into the pocket of the card.
I made a tiny envelope, inked the edges and popped that in the pocket too.
I stuck fern and leaves to the front of the pocket, stuck several tiny vellum flowers on the leaves then added a clear gem to the centre of each flower.
I then added some Forget-me-Not paper flowers from my stash to form a small bouquet and added a bow in the blue striped ribbon.
I added some butterflies to various parts of the card.
On the back of the card I added an easel stand.
The stand will fold flat so the card will fit nicely into an envelope for posting.

I hope my card gives you lots of ideas and inspiration
I also hope you will join in our challenge at LETS CRAFT & CREATE and be in with a chance of winning the fantastic prize which you can read about on Lets Craft & Create blog.
I am looking forward to seeing all the wonderful entries.

MY NEWEST MAKE

So this is my newest make and my first attempt at the vintage/shabby chic style card.
The card itself was from a tutorial by TERESA ALLDAY and I would like to thank her for sharing her work and tutorials so I can learn and get inspiration from her.
I welcome all your comments but please be gentle with me lol.

I used papers from SCRAP & CRAFT
Petaloo flowers from SCRAP & CRAFT
Embellishments and lace trim from SWEET PARIS collection from DOVECRAFT

I am fairly pleased with the end result considering it is a first attempt.
This will be going off to USA for a young ladys 18th birthday.
I hope she likes it!!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE...

So its been a while since I posted here.
Lots been going on and I get sidetracked so easily when browsing I forget what I originally set out to do.
But Im going to try and keep this up to date as much as possible :)
So what have I been doing??
Ive been trying new things to do with cards, following lots and lots of blogs (thank you ladies for sharing your talent). I found many I fell in love with and follow them constantly.
One being Teresa Allday whose blog is Craftingallday Creations
Teresa makes the most gorgeous cards!
And I have taken some inspiration from her work, and I thank Teresa for allowing me to do that. Also to thank her for the tutorials on her blog....
I have also been making some 3D models, some of which come from My SVG Hut. This lady makes tremendous 3D models which are very easy to assemble and if you have problems the instructions are right there.

I love anything vintage and shabby chic so I will be trying these new cards a bit longer...they are so pretty and feminine...how could anyone not like them!

So here are a few of the things I have done over the last months since I last posted,
I made these tealight card boxes at Christmas as gifts for family and friends.
Its a file from Forever Memories for You

I made several of these flower baskets for various customers.
Again a Forever Memories for You and the flowers were silk.
A sympathy card. The file purchased from Forever Memories for You
This was made as a Rememberance Card for a customer
Engagement Door Card complete with box and gift card.
Another file from Forever Memories for You

Lighthouse complete with box.
The top of the lighthouse has a small battery operated tealight.
This file was purchased at Creations by AR

For the Dr Who enthusiast... Tardis and personalised card complete with box.
This file was purchased from Kat Dunn

This VW Camper Van was easier to put together than it looks lol.
It was a personalised order for a young ladys 18th birthday.
File purchased from Kat Dunn

Gift for a new arrival. Alphabet cube and shoes complete with box and gift tag.
File purchased from Kat Dunn

This Heart & Roses Easel Card was a customer order.
It comes complete with its own box.
The file was purchased at Forever memories for You

I made this framed Balloon Beetle gift for my Grandaughters Engagement.
It was personalised with date etc.
File was purchased from Kat Dunn

So these are some of the cards and keepsakes I have made since I last posted.
There are many more but I would be here forever lol!

I hope you enjoy looking at my creations and at some point you may see something you really like and make a purchase :)

Thank you for visiting today!
