OUR CRAFTY CORNER #6

Good morning!

A new challenge starts today over at OUR CRAFTY CORNER.
And our lovely sponsor is...

Here is my inspiration card

I used the image NURSE DARCEE
which can be purchased from My Stitch Back In Twine.

So I made this using an A4 sheet of card which I cut in half long ways making a C6 top opening card.
I cut a piece of patterned paper same size as front of card and used DS sticky tape to place it.
I cut another piece, slightly smaller in a nice stripey nurse type paper.

I coloured the image using Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.
(One day I will remember to make note of colours)
I cut out a square around her and just left the background as is.
I used DS foam pads to place the image in the centre front.
In the bottom left corner I placed a small 'Get Well' sentiment.

And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

Please do visit our other DT members to see their fabulous creations too.

Thank you for stopping by today and we look forward to seeing your creations in the challenge.

Thank you very much to our sponsors once again.

And here is my half-way inspiration post.
This is what I created using

I coloured the image using
COPIC SKETCH MARKERS & SPECTRUM NOIR MARKERS.

I started of with a silver pearlescent base card.
I matted and layered with 2 shades of a blue/grey card from my 'bit box'.
I glued the two mats together then wrapped some silver grey ribbon around the two mats and stuck it down on the underside.
I added a small bow to the left side of the ribbon.
I used a strip of pretty flowered paper also from my 'bit box' to put a strip down the right side and placed the image in the middle of the card, stuck on using 3D foam pads.
In the top left corner I placed one blue flower with two green leaves and in the bottom right corner I placed a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from stash.

I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it.

JADE'S SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES #11

ADD A TAG TO YOUR CARD/PROJECT

Our sponsor for this challenge is
THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE
And the prize is...
3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES

I chose to use the image DOLL WITH HEART
This is what I came up with....

I use a red base card approx 5x7" and mat and layered it with 2 pices of card, one in red paper the other with a flourish frame print. Both from the PION DESIGN new paper FOR MY VALENTINE.
I took a verse and a tag from the same pad and placed one in the top left corner, the other in the top right corner. At the top of the tag I placed some red flowers from PETAL LU and made a bow from some red jute twine. I then made a triple bow from some really pretty red ribbon and placed it between the verse card and the coloured image in the bottom right corner which I put at a slight angle.
The image was coloured using SPECTRUM NOIR markers.

Hope you like my little card and will gain some inspiration from it.
Please do visit our other DT members blogs for more inspiration.

Thank you for visiting today.
Have a lovely day and happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #56

Sadly this is my last DT project for CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE.
I have decided to step down from the DT so I have more time to work on my colouring.
I would like to thank Lisa and Eileen for allowing me to be a part of their team for this short time and wish them the very best of luck with the challenges. Also to the other DT members I say a fond farewell but I am sure we will 'bump into one another' around the blogs.

The theme for ths challenge is ANYTHING GOES
And our wonderful sponsors are....

For this challenge I chose to use the ROSALEE image.
And this is my project.....

So I started off with a 6x8" base card and covered the front in a lovely red paper from the new Pion Design 'TO MY VALENTINE' papers. These really are very pretty papers but I love Pion Design so maybe Im biased lol.
It kind of fitted perfectly with the red roses in the image.

I coloured the image with SPECTRUM NOIR and my new COPICS which just arrived a few days ago. I love them! Eventually I am hoping to have all the COPIC markers.

I made a double bow in a deep red ribbon, cut a piece of a border and a ticket sentiment from the same Pion Design papers. I added the image at a slight angle in the top right corner...and dotted a few spots of red glitter glue to make some 'sparkly gems'.

I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it and join us for this challenge.
We look forward to seeing your creations.

I hope you will take a peek at our other DT's blogs for more inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by today and please do leave me a comment so I know you have visited and I can return the visit :)
Have a lovely day and happy crafting!

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #120

The theme for this challenge is
RIBBON & PEARLS
Our sponsors for this challenge are....

For this challenge I used an image from STITCHYBEAR

This is what I did with the image for my DT inspiration

I coloured her using SPECTRUM NOIR markers and used pretty shades of pink.

I made a 5.5"x 5.5" white base card.
I cut a piece to cover the front from a pretty pad I just purchased
FLORAL PAVILION from FRIST EDITION PAPERS.
I cut a piece of deep pink ribbon and placed it across the front of the patterned paper before sticking it to the front of the base card.
Then I added a double bow in the same pink ribbon.
I added a white branch with some small pink flowers with a pearl in the centre then 3 deep pink pearls in the top right corner. I also put 2 of these pearls on the front of the Babybugs dress top.
Lastly I added a 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' sentiment in the top left corner.

Hope you like what I did and gain some inspiration from it.
Please do visit our other DT members and see what they created.

Now its up to you...we would love to see your creations in our challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today and dont forget to leave me a comment so I can visit you also.

JADE'S SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES #10

Theme for this challenge is
ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

Our sponsors are
with a prize of
3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES
and
with a prize of
3 SINGLE DIGI IMAGES

So you may be thinking about the blog name...
JADES SPARKLING BUTTERFLIES
was
2 CRAFTY GIRLS

The blog owner JADE MORRISON decided to change the name to something more appropriate for us and this is what Jade and the DT came up with. More than appropriate I would say!

So on to my project for this challenge.
The image I chose to use was CHRISTMAS ANGEL from ROBYN'S FETISH.
This is what I made with it.

I used some lovely papers from PION DESIGN.
Lovely papers!

I layered a white base card with a beige mix mat and on top of that I put a grey mat.
It gave a lovely contrast I thought.
Around the mats I placed a piece of silver glittery netting then tied a bow in the same netting and  placed it to the left side.
I added some white Poinsettia flowers and Holly leaves in the top left corner and on the right side I placed the coloured image which I coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
I placed a sentiment between the flowers and netting bow.
Not very Christmas style but enough 'brightness (in the netting) and beauty (the angel and flowers)' to cover our theme.

So I hope this will give you some different inspiration.
Please do visit our other DT members and see their inspiration too.
They have all done some beautiful work as always.

So I hope you will join us in this challenge and we look forward to seeing what you create.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Happy crafting!

and
The prize is 4 DIGI IMAGES

My DT project for this challenge is...

I used a cutting file from the Silhouette Design shop for this project.
A bottle tag.

I used a lovely paper pad I recently purchased from SCRAP AND CRAFT called HIDDEN DESIRES. I used one 12 x 12 sheet and used both sides to get the contrast. I thought it worked quite well.

The image NEW YEAR BABY I coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
I added some glitter, which sadly does not show up very well on the picture and added a few silver stars for a bit more 'sparkle'.
I placed the coloured image on the main tag piece at a slight angle.
I added a circle embellishment and the word 'Cheers' to the circle. Put on a few dabs of glitter glue and added a few silver stars.
And that was all it needed really.

Hope my little project will give you some ideas for your entry.
Please do visit our other DT members. They also have some fabulous inspiration for you too.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #119

The theme for this challenge is
MONOCHROME

And our lovely sponsor is
with a fabulous prize of
7 DIGI IMAGES!

As the theme is MONOCHROME for this challenge I had some pretty pink papers to use.
And as I had coloured the image in pinks it wasnt a hard choice.

So here is my DT inspiration for this challenge....

I chose the cute image
KID POCKET TOPPER - GIRL WITH BOW
I coloured her with SPECTRUM NOIR MARKERS

I started with a fuschia pink 8 x 8in. base card.
I cut out a stand for the back of the card, so it is a single sided card.
I cut a mat 6.25in. square in pale pink cardstock  and stuck it to the front of the base card.
Next I cut a 5.5in. suare mat in a pink and white checked cardstock and added it on top of the pale pink mat at a slight angle.
In the top left corner I added a layered butterfly. I cut out the bottom layer in the fuschia pink card and the top lacey layer in the pale pink card. I stuck them together and folded the wings of the top layer upwards slightly then placed two self-adhesive pink pearls on the body.
In the top right corner I added a bow made from netting in a pale pink. It has a sheen to it so looked quite pretty. Then right in the top corner I placed a few self-adhesive pink pearls.
In the bottom right corner I placed the coloured image at a slight angle. Then in the bottom left corner I placed some paper flowers cut from the pink and white checked paper I used for the top mat layer.
I placed a small pink pearl in the centre and added two or three pearl strands around the flowers.
In the centre I placed a small card sentiment.

And thats my DT card for this challenge.
I hope you like it and will get some inspiration from it.

Please do visit our other DT members.
They too have some fabulous projects to share.
We look forward to you joining us and seeing your wonderful creations.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!!

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #109

The theme for this challenge is
LAYER IT UP

Here is my DT inspiration for you....hope it will help with some ideas.

I cut a white base card measuring 5.5 x 6ins.
I chose some patterned papers from STUDIO75 for the mats.
I cut two contrasting pieces of card for the mats.
One piece slightly smaller than the base card and the other slightly smaller than the first.

Then I cut a FLOURISH HEART using a die from APPLE BLOSSOM.
It is quite an intricate die but it cut beautifully! I cut this in a very pale lemon cardstock just to give a hint of a contrast colour. I placed this on the card front in the centre.

In the bottom right corner I placed some small white paper flowers and branches.
In the bottom left corner I placed a bow made from some wide silk ribbon in a beige colour.
It has a lovely sheen to it!

Finally in the top left corner I placed a die cut sentiment. I placed this with sticky pads to give it depth.

Plain and simple but very pretty.
I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it and enter our challenge.
Please do visit our other DT members blog to see what inspiration they came up with.

So we look forward to seeing all your entries!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a super day!

CRAFTY ADDICTS FACEBOOK GROUP #2

The theme for this challenge is ANYTHING GOES - with the option LET IT SNOW

Our sponsor for this challenge is
LACY SUNSHINE

For this challenge it had to be one last Christmas card. I love Christmas and all the wintry scenes that go with it. All white and the lovely red of the Poinsettias and the green of the Holly.

So this is what I decided to do for my DT inspiration post.
A typical Christmas card with all the above named elemnents.

This is a cutting file for my Silhouette Cameo that I purchased some time ago from
CRAFTS U PRINT
It is a design by a lady called LYNN SIMMS. She makes some beautiful card files at very reasonable prices. I love her files.

So I started off and cut out the base card in red cardstock. I folded this along the score line making a DL card and turned it on its side.
Then I cut a layer in a red marble effect cardstock and finally the top white fancy layer.
I matted and layered the white card to the marble effect red card then adhered the mat to the red base card.
I have some very pretty papers from MAJA DESIGN which I purchased from LIVE AND LOVE CRAFTS another place I love to shop for my stash.
I wrapped some gold ribbon around a long thin piece of card across the top of the white mat then I arranged holly leaves, fern and little rolled acorns all cut out on my Cameo. These came as part of the card file. I placed a piece of the gold ribbon in the centre of the leaves and fern and added a deep red burlap and paper Poinsettia on top of the gold ribbon.
I cut out a SEASONS GREETINGS sentiment in the marble red card, some Holly in the bottom right corner and a snowy scene small picture tilted at an angle to the bottom left corner.

I think this card has a very pretty effect.
I hope you like what I did and will gain some inspiration from it.
Please consider joining in with our challenge. Wew ould love to see you!

Thank you for visiting me today and come back very soon.

Have a lovely day!

2 CRAFTY GIRLS #9

The theme for this challenge is
WINTER BLUES
And our lovely sponsors are

Christmas is fast approaching and there is still lots to do!
I chose to create a very simple card for this challenge.
(The boxes in the front are just for the photograph)

I coloured the image 'WINTER WALK' using Spectrum Noir markers.
I cut roughly around the outside leaving a background...I dotted some light grey spots around, added some glue and sprinkle some glitter over it.
I used a basic card in white and covered the front with a nordic style paper.
I added the image to the bottom half of the card and put a couple of heart embellishments to each side.
At the top I added a sentiment which I added at an angle. On the other side I put a tag embellishment.
You can decorate your cards very effectively with embellishments of all shapes and sizes.

I hope you like what I did and will gain a little inspiration from it.
Id like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas and my very best wishes for 2016.

I hope you will take a moment or two to visit our other DT blogs. They have some amazing projects to share.

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #54

The Theme for this Challenge is....
ADD SOME SPARKLE

And our sponsor is LACY SUNSHINE
Huge thanks to Lacy Sunshine!

Prize for this challenge is..
3 DIGI IMAGES of the winners choice!

So my DT inspiration this time around.
I decided on something simple.

I used the image EMILY SPRING LADYBUGS from LACY SUNSHINE.
So I made a birthday card...Christmas cards are always pretty but there comes a time when we have to move away from the Season.

So for my card I used a dark blue base card.
I matted and layered 2 pieces of card from a pretty paper pad in my stash. I tied a piece of contrast blue ribbon around the mats before adhering it to the main card.
The image turned out quite good I thought (I am a colouring novice Im afraid so not perfect).
I put this on to the card with foam pads to give it some depth.
In the top left corner I put a tini pennant banner across the corner and in the top right I added a blue sparkly gem.
I made a small bow (getting quite good at this even if I do say so myself) in the same blue ribbon as the piece I put round the mats.
Above that I placed a Birthday sentiment tag and below it I placed another blue sparkly gem.

I think it made a pretty Birthday card!
But then Im biased :)

Please consider paying a visit to our other DT members blogs for more inspiration.

We hope very much you will join us for this challenge and we look forward to once seeing some lovely creations.

Have a lovely day and my very best wishes to you for Christmas and the New year!

2 CRAFTY GIRLS #8

Well here I am again with another DT inspirational post!
This time for the reopening challenge at 2 CRAFTY GIRLS
A lovely lady Jade Morrison has reopened this blog and restarted the challenges. So a huge thank you to Jade for this and all her hard work getting this off the ground.

The theme is ANYTHING GOES and our lovely sponsor this time around is

So my first DT inspirational post for this lovely team.

I started off with a dark blue blank base.
I chose the image HEARTS WITH RIBBON from PATTIES CREATIONS.
I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir markers, cut around it and coloured the background a blue/grey colour. White was too much.
I added a square piece of patterened background paper to the centre of the card as a mat, leaving a piece of the base card showing at either side.
I added a sentiment topper to the left side of my card and the coloured image to the right side.
At the top left of the coloured image I added 2 stars and at the bottom right corner I added a sparly gem. Above the sentiment topper I added a triple loop bow in black & white gingham.
Everything to make this card came from my stash.

I hope you like my little bit of inspiration to you and it will give the encouragement to come and join in the fun with us. We would love to see your creations!

I used red, green and white jute to tie the decorations.
The small tray I made with some Christmas paper stock from my stash.
I cut out the base tray twice and stuck them together using double-sided tape.

I coloured the HOLLY SPRITE image from AURORA WINGS using Spectrum Noir markers.

LETS CREATE & CRAFT #108

The theme is CHRISTMAS!

For my DT inspiration this challenge I chose to make a card that was a little whimsical maybe....
I used some cute images I printed out from a CRAFTERS COMPANION INSPIRATION cd I have..
it has some lovely Nordic style images and papers on it.

I made a 5x7 blank from white cardstock.
I covered the front with  green patterned paper I printed from the cd also.
Inside I covered with a piece of blue card from my stash.
I printed a sheet of toppers from the cd and cut out a Santa & reindeer one.
I added this to the front of the card with sticky pads.
In the bottom right corner I added a bow I made using 'Merry Christmas' ribbon from my stash.
I didnt think it needed anything else adding.

I hope you will get some inspiration and ideas from my card.
Happy crafting! and we hope you will join us for this challenge.

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #115

THEME IS 'BRR...ITS COLD OUTSIDE'

Good morning and welcome to our challenge at Crafting For All Seasons
Our sponsor for this challenge is THAT CRAFT PLACE.
The prize is 3 images from THAT CRAFT PLACE
The image I used for my inspiration card is 'LET IT SNOW'
And here is what I did with it....

I made a 5x7 card blank then printed out a background paper from a Crafters Companion CD which had part of 'Romany Christmas' on it. The paper was 7x7 so I turned the card blank on its side and adhered the background paper to it that way. A small piece was above the fold in the card.
I took  some tags from a Nordic Christmas paper pad in my stash and adhered one to to the top left corner at an angle. The other I placed in the bottom left corner. I placed a self adhesive clear gem to the top of the bottom tag and another to the top of a tree in the background paper. I made a small bow from some blue & white striped ribbon in my stash and put tht at the left side of the card.
I placed the coloured image to the right side of the card.
She originally had some snowballs as part of the image but unfortunately I cut them off when I was cutting out the image so I improvised and used tiny pieces of a cotton wool ball and stuck them on the card for snowballs.
I tied a small just bow to the top of the tag placed at the top of the card.

I hope you like what I did and find a little inspiration from it.
I look forward to seeing your entries into our challenge.

Happy crafting!

CREATIVE CRAFT COTTAGE #52

Theme is CHRISTMAS and our sponsor is PPINKYDOLLS

The prize for this challenge is
3 DIGI IMAGES OF YOUR CHOICE
so come along and join in the fun!
This is my DT inspiration for this challenge.

I cut a 6x6 card blank from red card I had in my stash.
I cut a piece slightly smaller in a red spotted card to make a mat for the front of the card and also for the inside.
I coloured the 'ELF AND SNOWMAN' image, which can be purchased from Ppinkydolls shop HERE, using my Spectrum Noir markers. I cut around the image leaving a narrow border which I coloured in a soft grey. I am only just starting with colouring so its not perfect lol.
I had a short piece of Xmas ribbon which I stuck to the top left corner but made it so it was away from the card in the middle.
I stuck the image to the card using sticky pads to raise it off the card slightly...I tied some green, red and white jute twine to make a bow and stuck that to my card with glue. On top I added a poinsettia paper flower. In the top right and bottom left corners I put 3 pieces of Holly in each corner.

I hope you find some inspiration from my card.
Look forward to seeing your creations in the challenge!

Happy crafting!!

CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS #114

Theme is EMBOSSING
and our sponsor is

he prize for this challenge is 3 images from our sponsors store so come along and join in the fun!
I decided to make a tag for my DT project and use a Scrappers Delight image I already had.

I love Christmas and Poinsettias so this image was perfect.
Ive not done a lot of colouringbut I was really pleased with how this turned out.

First I cut out a tag shape, on my Silhouette Cameo, using Kraft card. I cut it out twice and stuck them together using double-sided sticky tape. I prefer it to glue for some projects.
I covered the back of the tag in some Xmas looking stripey paper from my stash.
I always have lots of little bits of left over card I can use for small bits for a card.
Next I covered the front in a green Xmas themed paper and stuck it again with double-sided tape.
I then cut half a tag out on my Cameo in a red embossed card and stuck that to my tag in the same way as before.
I then added a small laser cut Xmas bauble with red and green twine threaded through the top. I placed this at an angle in the bottom right corner, the twine I fastened under the petals of the Poinsettia.

I coloured the Poinsettia using Spectrum Noir pens with these colours...
FLOWER PETALS:
DR7, DR6, DR4, CR11, CR6
LEAVES:
JG6, DG3, DG4, CG4, LG5
CENTRE:
OR1, LY3
In the bottom left corner I placed a small printed Xmas sentiment.
In the top right corner I put a red heart on a peg and through the hole in the top of the tag I threaded a piece of red ribbon and tied a knot.
Everything I used came from my own stash.
I hope you like what I did and will come along and join in our challenge.
I hope too my project will give you lots of inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations.

Happy crafting!
