SUNNY DAY CRAFTING CHALLENGE #18

Hello!!
Another week, another challenge at
The theme is always
ANYTHING GOES

For this challenge this my DT project is...

The image for this card was part of a paper collection I had in my stash

I created a 6x6 base card like this...
Cut 2 pieces of card measuring 6x6ins,
Score across one piece an inch down from the top,
Fold across the score line,
Glue just the folded piece to the other piece of card to make the card base.
I cut 2 mats for the front of the base card in different sizes using different patterened paper.
Then cut a strip 6ins wide x 3ins deep and a smaller piece in blue card to fit on top.
I adhered these to the front of the card with 3D glue gel, placed a paper flower and leaves in the top right corner and an image of a vintage lady to the left side at an angle.
Glued a bow to the bottom right and placed a sentiment on the middle strip.
A small self adhesive pearls to each of the 4 corners.

Hope you like my card and it inspires you to join our challenge.

SUNNY DAY CRAFTING CHALLENGE #16 - ANYTHING GOES

Hello!!
Another week, another challenge at
The theme is always
ANYTHING GOES

For this challenge I decided on  an all white card...
A Christening card.

I cut two pieces of cream card each measuring 6 inches square.
One of the pieces I measured 3/4" down and scored right across to make a valley fold.
I glued this to the back of the first square by only the fold to make a tent card.
I cut two pieces of co-ordinating paper, one 6 7/8 square & 6 3/4 square
and distressed the edges.
I die cut a filigree oval centre piece and slotted a piece of white ribbon through the centre and fastened it to the back of the mats using double sided sticky tape.
I made a triple bow from the same ribbon and placed it on the right on top of the ribbon strip.
I die cut a Christening dress & bonnet and placed them in the middle of the oval.
I embellished with a single white paper flower and leaves below the dress.
I stamped a 'Christening Day sentiment on to a piece of white card, cut into a banner shape at one end, shaped it and placed at the top left. I put two tiny self adhesive pearls on the left side.
Finally I placed a self adhesive white pearl in the corners.

Hope you like my card and it inspires you to join our challenge.

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND - SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE REMINDER

Hello again!

I just love creating Christmas cards.
Today I am here with my halfway post for SEPTEMBER challenge at
CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND

This challenge started on 01 SEPTEMBER with the theme
SHABBY CHIC AND/OR MAKE IT MONOCHROMATIC
And this is my inspiration post as part of the

Here is my inspiration card

I decided on a Vintage/Shabby Chic card for this challenge.
I covered the front of a 5x7 base card with a red paper from my stash, then I matted and layered the front of the card with a snow scene paper also from my stash.
I rounded the corners of a vinatge style topper and matted it on to a pice of red card with the corners rounded also.
I placed two chipboard baubles on the front with a piece of red twine at the top making them 'hangable'. I die cut some ivy and placed it across the bottom of the crd and arranged a Poinsettia and tiny red flowers on top. Lastly I placed a sentiment strip across the middle. I distressed the edges of the paper and turned them up to appear torn.

And thats my DT card for this time.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.
